Judith Butler, Slavoj Žižek, Étienne Balibar, Noura Erakat, Neve Gordon, Sherene Seikaly ve Lisa Hajjar, “Ailem Güvende” operasyonlarını kınayan açık mektuba imza attı.
Dünyanın farklı ülkelerinden akademisyen ve araştırmacılar, Türkiye’de LGBTİ+ hak savunucularına yönelik gözaltı ve tutuklamaları ortak bir açık mektupla kınadı. 1250'ye yakım imzacı arasında Judith Butler, Slavoj Žižek ve Étienne Balibar’ın yanı sıra, akademide ve Filistin çalışmaları alanında tanınan Noura Erakat, Neve Gordon, Eyal Weizman, Sherene Seikaly ve Lisa Hajjar gibi isimler de yer alıyor.
İmzacılar açıklamada, “Türkiye’de LGBTİ+ insan hakları savunucularının kitlesel olarak gözaltına alınmasını güçlü biçimde kınıyor ve derhal serbest bırakılmaları çağrısında bulunuyoruz” dedi.
Açıklamada, hedef alınan derneklerin yasal olarak kayıtlı olduğu ve bazılarının 30 yılı aşkın süredir faaliyet yürüttüğü hatırlatılarak, “Çalışmalarının suç olarak nitelendirilmesi örgütlenme özgürlüğüne, ifade özgürlüğüne ve akademik özgürlüğe yönelik bir saldırıdır” denildi.
Akademisyenler Türkiye makamlarına şu çağrıyı yaptı:
“Gözaltına alınan herkesin derhal serbest bırakılmasını, soruşturmaların durdurulmasını, el konulan ekipmanların iade edilmesini ve erişim engeli kararlarının kaldırılmasını talep ediyoruz.”
Üniversitelere ve akademik kuruluşlara da dayanışma çağrısı yapılan açıklama, “Meslektaşlarımızın ve Türkiye’deki LGBTİ+ hareketinin yanındayız” sözleriyle sona erdi.
