Selin Berghan, a member of Kaos GL’s Supervisory Board who was detained as part of the “My Family is Safe” operation, sent a message from prison. Expressing pride in being part of the LGBTI+ struggle, Berghan said they would continue the fight.
In her message, Berghan said:
“I am experiencing this process as part of the struggle for sexual freedom. I know that this will be neither the first nor the last price I pay for this struggle. Like the others, I wear this price as a badge of honor. I’m sending my gullüm (queer joy) to all my friends I struggle alongside. They can’t steal our joy!”
